1931 and 1937 American LaFrance Pumpers

This American LaFrance Type 312 RC pumper served Omaha. NE.  It has a LaFrance V-12 engine and a 1000 gpm rotary gear pump.  It was one of the later trucks to use chain drive, and also was special ordered with nickel plating by Omaha several years after chrome had become standard.

Kansas City, Kansas bought this rig in 1937.  It has the big LaFrance V-12 and a 1250 gpm centrifugal pump.  It was modified by KCK with added 1.5" crosslays and several compartments and served into the 60's.
